Walk With A Doc

Inspiring Healthier Communities Through Movement and Conversation

Medicor Cardiology is proud to support Walk with a Doc, a free community walking program designed to help people take simple steps toward better health. Led by healthcare professionals, these walks combine physical activity, health education, and meaningful social connection in a welcoming outdoor environment.

Founded in 2005 by cardiologist Dr. David Sabgir in Columbus, Ohio, Walk with a Doc began as a way to encourage patients to become more active. Since then, it has grown into an international movement with hundreds of chapters helping communities improve their physical and emotional well-being through walking.

Overview

What to Expect

Each Walk with a Doc event typically begins with a brief discussion led by a physician or healthcare provider on a current health topic. Participants then enjoy a relaxed walk together, with opportunities to ask questions, connect with others, and spend time outdoors. Walks are designed for all ages and fitness levels, including those who use walkers or wheelchairs.

Join our walking community which meets on specified Saturdays at 8:30 AM in the food court of the Bridgewater Commons Mall. We walk about 2 miles through the mall (or outside if weather permits). Then we gather for a talk relevant to heart health (about 10-15 minutes). All are welcome.  If you don’t feel that you can do 2 miles, come and do as much as you please (at your own pace).
