Fred Banerman
Fred Banerman is dedicated to providing patient-centered care as a Physician Assistant. He has over 20 years of experience and joined Medicor Cardiology in 2023. Fred has special interest in congestive heart failure and preventative cardiology. He completed his training from Wagner College in Staten Island, New York. In his free time, Fred loves to travel, cook, and spend time with family and friends.
Luba Horniacek
Luba Horniacek is dedicated to providing patient-centered care as a Physician Assistant at Medicor Cardiology since 2018. She earned a Bachelor in Science degree at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Then she completed a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY. Prior to joining Medicor, she was practicing Emergency Medicine in Jersey City. On her days off, Luba enjoys spending time with her family and two schnoodles.
Alexandra Lev
Alexandra Lev is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Alexandra received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, NJ. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she worked as an RN at Morristown Medical Center for 9 years on the telemetry floor and Cardiac Critical Care Unit. Alexandra began her career as a Nurse Practitioner at RWJUH in New Brunswick. She then specialized in cardiology and worked for a private practice for more than 3 years. Alexandra joined Medicor Cardiology in March 2020. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family and friends.
Justina Pastor
Justina Carille is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Justina received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Peter's University, Jersey City, NJ and her Master's Degree in Nursing from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, NJ. Prior to her position with Medicor Cardiology, she was a staff nurse at Morristown Medical Center with 8 years of experience working in the Emergency Department and Respiratory & Neuroscience Telemetry Units. Justina joined Medicor Cardiology in October 2019. She loves to travel in her free time and spend time with family and friends.
Rupa Patel
Rupa Patel is an Adult Nurse Practitioner board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center since 2011. Rupa received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Masters degree in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has been with Medicor Cardiology since July 2015 after she moved to New Jersey from North Carolina. Prior to her position with Medicor Cardiology, she worked as an adult nurse practitioner in Internal Medicine for 3 years. She lives locally in Somerset with her husband and baby boy. She loves to be outdoors hiking, cooking new foods, exploring new destinations and spending time with her little family.
Vashtie Ramjattan, MSN, RN, AGACNP-BC, CEN
Vashtie Ramjattan is an Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is also certified by the Emergency Nurses Association as a CEN. Vashtie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master's of Science in Nursing as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Emergency Nurses Association.
Prior to joining the Medicor team, her clinical background includes more than 10 years as an ER nurse and one year in specialized respiratory and telemetry units.
Vashtie's practice philosophy is to treat patient with compassion and respect, to empower them with knowledge to make healthy decisions about their lifestyle and to encourage lifestyle modifications.
Vashtie lives in Somerset with her two children. She enjoys traveling with her family, long road trips, dancing, reading and biking.
Amy Sherer, MSN, ANP-BC
Amy Sherer, APN, joined Medicor Cardiology in 2013. Her education includes a Bachelor's degree in nursing from Southern Connecticut State University and a Master's degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she studied primary care of the adult. Prior to joining Medicor, Amy worked as a registered nurse for 8 years in critical care and cardiothoracic surgical step-down. Amy lives locally with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys gardening, traveling, and time spent with her family.
Jian Zhang, MSN, APN
Jian Zhang is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Jian received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northeastern University, Boston, MA and her Master's degree in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. Prior to her position with Medicor Cardiology, she was a staff nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in cardiology and cardiac transplant as well as in cardiothoracic surgical ICU. She also has two years of experience as a research nurse at UMDNJ Medical School. Jian has been part of the Medicor team since 2002. She lives locally with her husband and two daughters. She loves to read and travel.
